SCOTT J. REIN, PRESIDENT
Scott J. Rein is the founder and President of
Strategic Outpatient Solutions (“SOS”). Mr.
Rein is known nationally in the healthcare industry as an expert on the
outpatient surgery business. He is invited to speak regularly at healthcare conferences;
has consulted for major academic hospitals on formulating outpatient
strategies; worked with hundreds of surgeons throughout the United States; and
has developed and managed the most profitable surgery centers in the United
States. He has more than 12 years of
experience in healthcare, specifically focused on business issues and the goal
of delivering outstanding healthcare profitably. Mr. Rein has
extensive experience in the outpatient sector in both strategic analysis and management. For five years he served as an advisor and
general counsel to the most profitable outpatient surgery center in the As President of SOS, Mr. Rein has worked with surgeons
looking to develop ASCs (including urban
and rural centers; single, freestanding centers; and a chain of centers);
medical device companies looking for entry into the orthopedic market; and
billing and supply companies looking for knowledge and expertise in the
outpatient market. Mr. Rein has spoken at
several major national health care conferences discussing the ASC sector and his
business strategies. Most recently he
was one of the organizers and principal speakers of the inaugural New Jersey
ASC Review and was the featured speaker on outpatient business issues in an
Amerinet nationwide webinar series for ASCs. Mr. Rein graduated from Fordham University School of
Law in 1988 and joined the law firm of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. In 1994, he started his own law firm which
grew to 25 lawyers before leaving his practice to work exclusively in
healthcare in 2003.
